LAB Motion Systems is a high-tech company specialized in the development of machines that require advanced motion performance. State-of-the-art motion control is realized for OEM integrations, special developments and research applications. LAB is your preferred partner from concept generation up to series production. Mechatronics is the key driver in our activities: we offer cutting-edge bearing technology, high-performance direct drives, servo drivers, high-accuracy positioning feedback and integrated motion control. Within LAB there is a specialized division, Orion Laser Tech, which focusses on the development and delivery of turnkey solutions for laser machining in the glass industry.

LAB & Orion have a tradition of continuous improvement, growth and learning in the development of new products. To achieve this, we rely on an excellent team of PhD’s, development engineers and well-trained technicians and a professional sales team.
We are currently looking for a Technical Sales person in the ORION Laser Tech Division.

You will play a key role in advancing the Sales and prospect portfolio: 

  • You find and seize new project opportunities for Orion Laser Tech.
  • You represent our company at potential and existing customers. You advocate for the customer within our company.
  • You are able to underpin the exact technical and commercial needs of our customer and translate them together with the team in solutions that Orion Laser Tech can offer. You present and explain these solutions to the customer and iterate to come to a deal.
  • You make technical-commercial quotations. Every now and then, you apply for public tenders.
  • You maintain a good relation with (potential) customers and become their trusted advisor.
  • You are a point of contact within our company to learn about market needs.
  • You are a strong brand ambassador, you network in the business community to gain market intelligence and generate sales leads.
  • You coordinate with marketing.
  • You take the ownership of the Sales Strategy and provide the long term rolling forecast of prospects and demands.

  • up to speed with trends in the B2B sector (especially in the mechatronics and Laser sectors)
  • pro-active initiator
  • relation oriented, having strong interpersonal skills and an excellent verbal communicator
  • active listener
  • customer & solution oriented
  • technical and analytical, ideally you have a Master Electromechanical Engineering
  • having a very high energy level, passion and motivation
  • understanding the sales process in an innovative business niche
  • in possession of a tangible track record of driving a Sales Growth
  • very flexible
  • experience in glass industry is a clear plus
  • fluent in Dutch and English. Other languages are a plus
